Mark Yates DipRSV AssocRICS MRPSA is the company director and surveyor has over 25 years experience in research, applied research, design and development and the application of non- invasive technologies and techniques for the investigation of buildings. 

As an associate of RICS (the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors) it requires that all associates, members and fellows must adhere to very high levels of professional standards, which includes codes of practice, surveying methods, report writing, customer care and ethics etc in addition all members are required and mandated to enhance their knowledge by continual professional development (CPD) throughout their membership of RICS.

Mark is also a 25+ year member of the IET (the Institution of Engineering and Technology) The IET inspires, informs and influences the global engineering community to engineer a better world and shares knowledge that helps make better sense of the world in order to solve the challenges that matter.

Mark is qualified with a Diploma in Residential Surveying & Valuation.  The Diploma is a level 6 qualification, overseen by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE). The Diploma is also accredited by the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE)

Chartwell Building Surveys is a member of the RPSA (the Residential Property Surveyors Association) .

 The RPSA is the only professional Association focussed completely on supporting, promoting and creating independent residential surveyors. As a not-for-profit organisation, all their resources are targeted at raising standards, awareness and quality in the residential surveying sector. With a high profile at Government and national stakeholder level, the RPSA ensures that the voice of the independent surveyor is represented throughout the industry.
